I am psyched about all of these celebrity bios that just came out for the summer. I love bios because they allow me to look at someone else’s mistakes and not feel so bad about mine. They also remind me that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes you find yourself in a rut or in a dark place. When you read about someone else’s life you realize that you are not alone and there is hope on the horizon. Reading bios are also very inspiring. I just finished reading Bethenny Frankel’s, A Place of Yes (more on that in another post) and when I read about the courage she had to go for her dreams it lifted my shoulders a little higher.
I have a reading list that I am sure to breeze through in the next few weeks. I will be reading a combination of actual books and some will be on my nook. It’s really a great thing to have if you have children that you are reading stories to at night and if you have a long reading list. I wish ereaders existed when I was in college. Perhaps I would have graduated sooner.
Check out what I have on my list so far:
- Rob Lowe Stories I Only Tell My Friends
- Shirley Maclaine I’m Over All That
- Bethenny Frankel A Place of Yes
- Steven Tyler Does The Noise In My Head Bother You
