Growing Up, Making room for new baby!

Yes, my little one is now 19 months old. He has so much going on and I want to update you guys on his progress.

He loves cars. Everyday he plays with cars wherever he is.

His favorite shows are Thomas and Friends, Anpanman, and Sazae San

He wants to do everything himself and copy everything we do.

He smiles, laughs, gets angry, and shows all emotions.

We think that Japan is good for him so far. He has had the opportunity to see so many things that we would not have been able to see in New York. Butterflies on flowers daily! Airplanes flying by in open air space without buildings blocking our view. It feels good to see him experience nature. The other day I took him outside to play in the rain. It was so fun to see him react to the little frogs and splash in the puddles around the house.

A Daily Sight in Japan

We are so proud of his development. Hopefully he will be able to start preschool next year when the new baby arrives. He has had a few chances to interact with other children and he is very impressive. He give them space to be themselves and approaches conversation the same way an adult would. Asking a question and waiting for a response.

My Baby is so organized! When he opens a door he closes it behind him. When he comes home from playing he puts his shoes in exactly the same place. His favorite things to do are load the washing machine and throwing things in the garbage. I am glad he is so orderly. We need that kind of motivation with a new baby on the way.

I am progressing too. I made a mommy friend and I hope to have a visit with her soon. Her baby is the same age and she is interested in English. Perhaps she will be my first private client. It is such a cliche to teach English in Japan, but that was my job in NY and I  carried myself as a professional so hopefully I can establish myself as one of the serious teachers.

Gotta make more videos.

Be Well!

  1. Thanks for visiting the site and commenting. BTW-I attempted to comment from my work computer when I saw your posting, but it blocked it. 🙁 Guess I should have been doing other things with my computer, haha.

  2. I just started reading your blog and I am so very happy for you and your family. I wish you and your family many blessings and I pray for your mother-in-law’s health.
