All smiles staying positive!

So, we are all smiling, but some things just happen at the wrong time.

Mom has to have another operation.

For all of you who have no idea what is going on, let me fill you in.

My husband, son and I moved to Japan to be with my mother-in-law who is sick with brain cancer. I was an English teacher with another business of my own (see old blog) http://smartalecky.wordpress.com/

and my husband was a chef in NYC. We enjoyed our lives and had a great life there, but when we heard about mom, we dropped everything and left NYC to come to Japan.

We all had plans to go to Gujo to pay respects to grandfather’s grave, but when we got the news about the operation, we had to cancel. The timing is bad also because my brother-in-law is getting married soon. We are not sure if mom will be able to go to the wedding. Sucks!

I worry, although we are all optimistic, I hate it when she is in the hospital. The house is chaotic and it feels like a dorm. She warms the house with her smile and it will be hard to not have her home for weeks!

If you are a praying person, please send positive vibes to my mom(mother-in-law).

Be Well.

  1. Flax seed & chea seeds helps reduce cancerous problems in the body. I just heard a guy teaching about incorperating it in the diet through flax muffins reduces 75% of cancerous cells from growing around a ten year study. I had just found out someone dear to me had this if only I knew that flax cleanses the blood from cancerous spreading & stops it at the root. I would have told that lady who I lost to cancer.

  2. I just saw this and I hope your MIL’s surgery went well. I’ll be praying for her. God bless to you all…wonderful family 🙂
