Naomi Osaka’s Skincare Line
It’s National sunscreen day! Let’s take a look at some new sunscreen and skincare from Naomi Osaka.
I am so excited about this line. I decided to get a few pieces from the Kinlo Skincare Line to review. Everything came in good time for me to use and try out in time for National Sunscreen Day!
These pieces were ordered directly from the Kinlo website. Naomi Osaka’s Skincare line is currently available on the Kinlo website as well as piece by piece at Walmart.
Here are the items I purchased:
- Hydrating Golden Mist
- Golden Renewal Candle
- Hydrating Lip Balm
- Golden Rays Sunscreen
- Hydrating Facial Oil
- Silk fabric square scarf
Right away I will say that I loved everything! Naomi Osaka and her team really put some excellent thought into the offerings and the packaging.
Let’s go in order of the list above. I want to be sure to cover things most people never mention in a review.
The Golden Mist
This is the most luxurious scent I have ever smelled, My favorite product!! I have never smelled such a rich and luxurious scent of coconut and I use a lot of products!!! The scent alone is worth it. It helped me reduce anxiety and really brought a personal touch of peace on tough days.
It’s a fine gentle mister bottle full of facial mist. A very nice refresher especially on a hot day. Keep it on your dresser or on the fridge door. The mister bottle is 2fl oz. Some of the ingredients are calming and soothing to the skin like aloe, calendula and witch hazel and hemp.
Golden Renewal Candle
This is my second favorite behind the mist because of the scent. This is the same scent from the Hydrating Golden Mist. At times you may smell more orange, others more coconut. It’s unusual to get a candle mixed into a skincare line but it totally works.
Setting up a self care day at home is easy with this candle. The blend of sweet orange coconut is a tropical vacation in a tin. Absolutely luxurious! It comes with a top which makes it easy to snuff out and the candle is made of soy. It’s also vegan and hand poured in the USA!
Hydrating Lip Balm
Captured in a small tin I really appreciate this lip balm. It is not scented! There is no grease, there is no sugary taste either. It is a great lip balm to gift to any gender. The first ingredient is olive oil. There is also shea butter and irish moss in this lip balm. I loved the composition of this lip balm. The tin is twist off so there is less chance of an accident. Just be sure like any other skin care to keep it out of the sun directly so it does not start to get too soft.
Golden Rays Sunscreen
Now for the reason you are all here. This sunscreen feels great! It’s an SPF 50 formula. The packaging says that it is 80 minute water resistant. This takes this sunscreen from a walk on a hot day to a pool day. Great versatility. The benefits also extent to hyperpigmentation with the ingredient Niacinamide included with green tea and jojoba oil.
It’s not too thick or smelly. It did not irritate my skin and I have eczema! I loved the look of the golden liquid and I really liked how it acted almost as a bronzer. If you have olive to darker skin this is a must have. I can see it being great under foundation especially if you are on the dry side. It did not dry me out.
I was able to wear it on my skin with nothing else. I was able to reapply easily. The applicator was neat and convenient. Remember to shake well. All of Kinlo Skincare Line has very well thought out packaging. I can’t honestly say that it performed as a sunscreen should because my goal is never to sit out under the sun until I burn but I felt very protected the day after. No chaffing and no burning on my skin.
Hydrating Facial Oil
This can be a scary one to try. Most of us were told not to put oil on your face but this is not motor oil. It’s a lovely light yet rich moisturizing oil comprised of 100% jojoba oil and plant oils.
If you have severely dry skin like I have developed over the winter it is great to use as a “night cream”. I also like to put this on after a hot shower (probably too hot) and take it all the way down to the decollete area. It comes in a very attractive eye dropper bottle with a fancy dainty eye dropper.
Silk Fabric Square
Clearly this was a vanity purchase. I just wanted to add something luxurious to my cart. The scarf has a hand rolled hem just like a Chanel scarf. The quality is excellent. 100% silk is the perfect gift to yourself. Use it as a decorative part of your hair care or part of your outfit. I have it hanging on my dresser jewelry box as decor. Just a little bit of luxury under $50! You definitely deserve it.
My final thoughts on Naomi Osaka’s Skincare Line
As mentioned right away I loved everything. The sets I ordered came in a resealable plastic pouch. The graphics were amazing, the box arrived in good condition and I could not have been happier. This is 100% going to be on my gift guide this year!
This line is super travel friendly! Most of the line is under 4fl oz. Easy to pack in your carry on if you choose to do so.
Kinlo got this skincare line right! It was designed with melanated skin in mind but I see it working for just about any shade that might want some extra moisture or glow.
The only drawback was that I had to order sets for the items I wanted. I missed out on the eye cream because I really wanted the candle which was only available in a set. The set had overlapping pieces from the first set I bought so I ended up with 2 sunscreen and 2 oils.
I have every intention of putting these extras in gift baskets. Overall it would have been nice to purchase the entire Kinlo Skincare Line piece by piece.
When I went to Walmart to purchase what I thought would be that option they had only 2-3 products available. Also the shopping from the Walmart website was not such a luxurious experience so I clicked out. I wonder if I do order from Walmart will everything arrive as bougie and luxurious as the sets I received from the Kinlo Skincare website?

Lyric says
They need more advertising because I had no idea she had a skincare line. Thanks for sharing this! I’d love to support the line.
