When do you get to relax when you are a homeschooling mom? The problem is that it might feel as though you never have a second to relax.
You get the kids up, you give them their lessons and deliver them, and then you’re back to being mom from teacher at the end of the day. When do you get five minutes to yourself?
Well, we’re here to help you figure that out! Keep reading down below if you would like to find out more.
After School
If you homeschool your children then you may be wondering when you can get five minutes to yourself. There can be many reasons for home schooling but that doesn’t mean you have to have the children around you all the time. If you have to dash out to work once you have finished teaching your children then you can make use of after school clubs. These are great for children as they can play and interact with other children while you are working or running errands. If you are looking for a good childcare setting near you then take a look at before and after school care. They will take your child usually until about 6 or 7 in the evening. You are also able to provide a snack for your child, or some of them provide this so you don’t have to.
Break Times
Another time where you can get a few minutes to yourself are break times. Your kids can’t be expected to work all day, so break times are going to be important to ensure that they are retaining the information that you’re teaching them.
As you’re in the comfort of your own home and you know that it’s safe, you can give yourself a few minutes without the kids at the very least. Take the time to make yourself a drink or just have a few minutes in your room. You know that your kids are going to be okay, so you don’t have to panic!
Weekends
The final thing that we’re going to say is that you can have some of the weekends to yourself if you want them. You can ask your parents of your partners parents if they want to have the kids for the weekend!
This gives you some much needed time to yourself without the kids, and then you can get ready for them to come back on sunday and resume daily life on monday. Of course, there are the weekends that you’re going to want to spend with your kids doing some fun activities, but if you feel like you need a break, then there are options available to you.
Hopefully, you have found this article helpful and now see when you get to relax when you’re a homeschooling mom. Everyone deserves to have that break, even if you are homeschooling your kids!
Take the breaks wherever you can to avoid feeling overwhelmed, just make sure that everyone knows that you need some time to yourself for a little while.
